Are you already a Certified Personal Trainer or thinking about a career in fitness?
It's very simple: We're building a team to serve more people.
We already have a stellar team in place, and, we think, the ingredients you see in the video above, which combine in the right mix to fuel our growth and desire to serve more clients.
We've been extremely fortunate to build an excellent reputation in the community by providing above-and-beyond value & results to our highly satisfied clients (THANK YOU! THANK YOU! EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!), and growing client requests (both locally and afar) compel us to search for additional McCartyFit team members.
Friendly, passionate fitness professionals wanted
Our motto is "Friendly Fitness Help" so everything we do for our clients is based on that fundamental principle of kindness.
Whether you are a brand new trainer or just starting to think about joining the fitness industry (two good things to check out here and here), or even if you are an experienced trainer and already have clients that know, like, and trust you, if you're not friendly and have an aura of positivity, you'll probably not want to join this team.
A big part of #TheMcCartyEffect is the positivity and friendliness we expect our trainers and staff to exude to all those they interact with. Not a fake smile or false kindness--we're talking real, genuine generosity of spirit and a joy-sharing personality.
Be kind or keep it movin'.
Adapting to Client Needs
Our trainers never provide any type of cookie cutter workout. We have a high standard of adapting to each client's needs, in providing specific, individualized programs and care.
More and more people are becoming comfortable with the idea of online training because of the many benefits involved, so everyone on our team must be willing to learn how to provide this requested service. We have the tools and technology to make this an easy transition for you if you've not already provided personal training in this way.
But more important than any technology change, though, is our willingness to adapt to our clients needs, to serve them how they need to be served, and not based on some impersonalized cookie cutter program or platform. We must meet them where they are to help them get to where they want to go. Our clients are our reason for being.
Perpetual Personal Development
This is a pretty simple one, too.
Everyone on our team must always strive to learn more, to be a better coach, to provide a higher level of service, to expand our individual knowledge about every aspect of what we do for our clients.
We're not talking about embracing every latest fad, however.
We're talking about always being curious, never being satisfied that what worked three years ago is the final answer on any subject. There is so much to learn and keep up with in this industry, and we each must burn with desire to know more for the sole reason that we are our clients' trusted advisor and personal expert on most everything health, wellness, and fitness related.
And we collaborate constantly with one another, we share ideas, best practices, tips, insights, victories and setbacks...everything, so that we all collectively get better and provide the best service possible. We are not competing with one another--we're all on the same team.
We never stop learning. With new research being constantly published, we never limit ourselves to old ideas and practices. We are always upgrading our styles to provide the absolute best to our clients. Learning together as a team. Sharing insights. We help each other. Non-competitive environment.
Professionalism in All We Do
Each trainer holds a professional demeanor while still remaining personable. During each session, the focus is 100% on the client.
We treat our clients with respect and slowly build the relationship to whatever level they are comfortable with, but we've found that most actually become friends. Joining the #McCartyFit tribe really is like building another family. We make them feel comfortable, and offer a non-intimidating environment every single time we are with them.
We truly enjoy helping them. We ensure they know--really know--that we are by their side every step of the way. We take the time to truly listen to their needs, desires, & fears, and meet them where they are so they'll have the skills, confidence, and drive to get themselves where they want to go.
Become a Personal Trainer Program (Internship)
We see this all the time: Someone becomes a client and sees the results they have been looking for. They start to enjoy working out more, even with out our prompting, and they get so excited when they realize how real fitness results can be achieved by a real, normal person like them, and before you know it we start hearing things like "Hey, your job is pretty cool. I think I might like to learn more myself and then be able to help other people, too."
And, thus, our informal fitness internship program was born.
Finding yourself in the world of fitness can make you realize the numerous benefits that exercise can offer in your day to day life. Sharing this with others is an incredibly fulfilling experience that we are excited to share with others.
You are free to enroll in whatever professional certification program you choose (and we are here to help you explore those options if you're not sure which CPT program to pursue). The cost of enrolling in your choice of programs is your responsibility, but once you have been accepted into our informal internship program, we will provide additional information to help supplement your studies and begin providing you with practical knowledge and hands-on learning.
We will provide you week by week educational content (at a pace tailored to your learning speed and style) to help you prepare for becoming a personal trainer, and not just passing the CPT certification exam. These are two entirely different skill sets, and we are here to help you excel at both.
We'll provide supplemental instruction on such things as:
Fitness assessment options
Basic anatomy and physiology
Understanding your clients goals
Goal setting consultation
selling personal training
Strength and conditioning programming
Understanding your clients personality
Adapting to Working with special populations
How to provide online personal training

Expand your specialties: have more to offer clients
Make connections with other fitness professionals
Become a boxing coach to help others find their confidence and reach their fitness goals, while having fun!
